Reader,
This has been a slow week on the reading and internet front as I’ve been swamped with wage work. That said, I finished a simple Miniso blocks build yesterday and saw films as part of the 48 Hour Film Project’s Nairobi leg on Friday so it’s not all gloom and doom.
My spoons are at an all-time low, making me miss what promised to be a literary gathering yesterday. Instead, I got to sleep the day away and get some reading in so we'll take it.
[I’m writing this at a restaurant after YB convinced me to leave the house for my mental health. So far so good.]

Another slow week on this front though I put in a few thousand steps so I’ll take my lower case W.

I have finished four books since I last wrote to you - a hybrid read of When We Were Sisters by Fatimah Asghar (narrated by Farah Kidwai, Kamran Khan & Deepti Gupta) as well as the e-book versions of A First Time for Everything by Dan Santat and Hidden Systems: Water, Electricity, the Internet, and the Secrets Behind the Systems We Use Every Day by Dan Nott and the audiobook version of On Repentance and Repair: Repair and Amends in an Unapologetic World by Danya Ruttenberg (narrated by Sara Sheckells). My latest videos are of the books I read in early September (you can watch it here) and a weekly round up (watch it here) as well as one from the vault (watch it here). To catch the videos I’m working on when they’re done, subscribe to the channel if you haven’t yet!
As ever, please write back to me and tell me what books you’re reading or looking forward to reading — it’s always a great time talking about books.
Enjoy the week ahead and have a lovely time reading. Talk to you soon!
